Almost all the computers comes with some version of Java. So, how do I check what version of Java install in my computer? I will show you several ways to check the Java version.

First Method:
I prefer this method since it is by developer of Java (Oracle).
  • Open the Browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox). You may find different Java Version on different browsers.
  • Go to: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
  • Click on the "Verify Java version". If this changes to something else, click on the similar button. It will tell you the Java version installed on your computer. If it's out dated, it will recommend you to appropriate version.
